A Healthy Snack

I don’t write about food much on here, but it’s something I want to do more. Eating right is a very important part of living a healthy life! We try really hard around here to eat healthy…but, we certainly haven’t arrived!

This is a recipe for Baked Kale Chips. Pretty tasty little salty snack. Kale is a green, like spinach and lettuce, and is very good for you! I do recommend buying organic kale since it is one of the dirty dozen that can otherwise be a risk for pesticides. (I also plan on trying this with spinach leaves!)

Preheat oven to 300. Take one bunch (about 6oz) kale. Rinse and remove stem and tough center ribs. Cut into bite-size pieces.

Toss with 1 tablespoon olive oil in a bowl.

Arrange leaves in a single layer on a large baking sheet and sea salt to taste. Bake for 20 minutes, or until crisp.

Final result! Baked kale chips! Very crispy. 🙂
